The Bouldrewood project presented a bold architectural vision, defined by clean lines, expansive glazing, and a minimalist aesthetic. We were tasked with delivering a bespoke glazing solution that would form a central design feature of the building while meeting demanding performance and durability standards. The result is a stunning, full-height glass façade that brings light, impact, and sophistication to this modern property.
At the heart of the project is a custom installation of SAS SF52 aluminium curtain walling, a high-performance structural glazing system known for its flexibility, strength, and refined appearance. The curtain wall spans the full height of the elevation, forming a dramatic glazed frontage that floods the interior with natural light while offering excellent thermal and acoustic performance.
Inset aluminium windows and doors were carefully integrated into the curtain walling, ensuring a seamless and functional finish. These elements provide necessary access and ventilation while maintaining the integrity of the façade’s clean, linear design.
All aluminium framing and components were finished in RAL 9005 Matt Black, a timeless and elegant colour that enhances the architectural presence of the glass façade. The matte finish adds depth and texture, delivering a sophisticated contrast against surrounding materials and highlighting the structure’s contemporary style.
The completed glazing system at Bouldrewood is a prime example of how modern curtain walling can be used to create bold architectural statements without compromising on performance. The expansive glass façade, precision detailing, and coordinated matte black finish contribute to a visually striking and highly functional result.
