Nestled in the stunning Kent countryside, the team were thrilled to design and install a numerous features of architectural for this breath-taking, modern renovation project of a farmhouse style home. The homeowner came to us with two main objectives: 1. Expand the home with an open family living space and entertaining area, capturing the stunning unadulterated views of the property and, 2. Maximise light throughout the property, elegantly blending the old oak barn style with sleek contemporary designs.

The 5-panel Senior curtain wall is one of the standout features of bespoke architectural glazing installed. Greeting the homeowners to the front of the property, this product is perfect for homeowners looking to create a modern and impressive entrance to their home, adding a touch of grandeur and sophistication. Senior curtain walling system is highly customizable, allowing for various designs, shapes, and sizes, as well as providing excellent thermal insulation, sound reduction, and weather resistance.

As part of the featured entrance, the team also installed a SMART Alitherm 400 aluminium entrance door, continuing the sleek and modern style entrance to the property whilst still maintaining excellent thermal performance. SMART aluminium designer panels add an extra level of elegance and sophistication, creating a statement entrance to impress any visitor.

SMART Alitherm 300 windows with square sash and bead were installed across the window system. Varying slightly in shape and dimension across the window system , the design has a degree of asymmetry that makes it unique. The square sash and bead design gives the windows a modern and contemporary look that complements the overall design of the home.

The glass box extension was installed with ARC slimline sliding doors, with an opening corner configuration to create a floating corner effect and to further expand the space. The slim sightlines of just 20mm, and the flush thresholds between the interior entertainment space and expansive patio, create a stunning frameless effect that offers unobstructed views of the spectacular countryside, whilst flooding the home with natural light.

To the right of the glass box extension, SMART Visofold 1000 Bifold Doors stacked to a double height glazing elevation capture the objective of maximising light and openness throughout the property, whilst offering considerable versatility to allow for multiple configurations that suit the homeowner’s needs.

The exposed hilltop position meant that both wind loading and thermal insulation would be key considerations in the selection of products installed. All featured products have exceptionally good thermal performance, with optimum U-Values.

To add the finishing touches to the project, we used a dual-colour scheme. The outside of the products was finished with a RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey Matt colour, while the inside was finished in RAL white. This combination adds an extra level of sophistication and creates a cohesive look that ties all the products together.

The team worked tirelessly to deliver a modern and sophisticated living space that seamlessly blends with the property’s traditional farmhouse style. The end result is truly breath-taking.
