ARC Glazing were approached by a family in rural Kent who had a vision of elevating their new build home into a modern and functional space while complementing its traditional charm. Taking inspiration from a visit to our showroom, the homeowners briefed us on utilising a combination of glazing solutions that would amplify natural light into the property and look aesthetically stunning with uniformity and slim sightlines.
At the front and centrepiece of the house, a stunning double height elevation of SAS SF52 Senior Curtain Wall system was installed. In an 8 panel configuration, this architectural glazing product is the perfect solution for maximising natural light, opening up interior space and creating a spectacular property feature. With consistent 52mm sightlines, improved flexibility and enhanced thermal qualities that exceed current building regulations, the SF52 offers a stunning, high-performance solution perfect for both ground floor and high-rise projects and refurbishments.
For the entrance door, we recommended the SMART Alitherm 400 aluminium entrance door, which offers superior strength and durability, and a host of customisable aesthetic options. Fitted with a multi-point locking system, the Alitherm 400 not only looks impressive but also provides high-level security for homeowners.
SMART Visofold 1000 aluminium bifold doors were installed in a 3-pane configuration to the rear of the property, postulating an elegant and practical solution for connecting and opening up interior living spaces to the outdoors. The Visofold 1000 bifold doors feature a slimline frame design, providing maximum glass coverage and unobstructed views, and are also fitted with high-performance weather seals and thermal breaks, ensuring excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
Above the two sets of bifold doors, SMART Alitherm 400 double doors with Juliette balconies were selected. Utilising additional panes of glass for the right side, the doors stylishly mirror the shape and contours of the house, creating a striking design contrast in dimensions and enhanced functionality.
For the window system, we fitted the SMART Alitherm 300 with square sash and bead. These windows are designed to offer high levels of thermal efficiency and security, while also being aesthetically pleasing – serving a clean and modern look that complements the overall home design.
