ARC Glazing designed and installed an array of architectural glazing elements at this breathtakingly stunning new build development by Hillstone Homes, a renowned property development company in Kent and the South-East, and award winning architects, Guy Holloway.

In the rural village of Bossingham, Four Oaks is a collection of 4 spectacular 5-bed family homes that exquisitely blend a mixture of modern design with traditional building materials of brick and oak timber, captivated with stunning country views and large outdoor areas.

We worked closely with the team at Hillstone Homes to deliver their vision and each product has been specifically selected to ensure that it meets new-build requirements and offers unique benefits that elevate the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the properties.

For the window system, SMART Alitherm 400 Flush windows were installed. The most advanced window from SMART, the Alitherm 400 was selected due to its compliance with new building regulations and high energy efficiency with exceptional U-values of 1.4. Across the property these windows have been designed and installed in various dimensions and design styles to both elevate the uniqueness of the properties and maximise light in respect of the different design nuances and shapes of the property. The different dimensions also showcase the versatility of the SMART Alitherm 400.

SMART Designer Doors welcome the families to their new home, providing the ideal blend of style, security and energy performance. Their elegant, sleek and contemporary aesthetic makes a striking design statement that subtly complements the traditional brickwork and oak timber and elevates the beauty of these homes. Available in multiple styles and designs, these doors are ideal for a wide range of residential and commercial properties.

A set of SMART Visofold 1000 bifold doors feature in several of the properties, the perfect addition to expand the useable space of the property and create a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor living spaces. Constructed with a floor to ceiling elevation illuminates the interior living space with vast amounts of natural light, whilst creating a stunningly large aperture when opened. With their minimalist design and ease of operation, these elegant systems add a touch of finesse to any home.

One of the properties showcases an exceptional combination of these bifold doors and the SMART Alitherm 400 to construct a grand and beautiful double height glazed façade that works perfectly with the colour matched oak timber side panels. The vertical mullions on the glazing have been designed to line up with one another to capture the concept of global alignment. This creates a unique and cohesive design that is consistent throughout the build, with different sightlines and junctions working together seamlessly to create an outstanding feature.

SMART Visofold 1000 double doors also feature across all the properties. With the homes nestled in expansive views of the surrounding countryside it was important to provide a number of connections to the outdoors. Fabricated with the same slimline profiles, thresholds and locking mechanisms of the bifold doors, these double doors further stipulate a cohesive and stylish design with excellent performance features. The team also combined these with glazed side panels to generate additional paths of natural light into the property and to further enhance its modernity and elegance.

Finished in dual colour, RAL 9005 Black outside and White inside, each aspect of architectural glazing offers a seamless connection with the rest of the property’s exterior and interior design, ensuring that the glazing solutions work together as one.
