This beautiful new build property in Ashford, Kent, was designed with a traditional barn-style aesthetic in mind, combining classic rural architecture with the benefits of modern construction. Our team was selected to supply and install all the windows and doors throughout the home, delivering a complete, cohesive glazing package that honoured the traditional design while ensuring high standards of performance, durability, and energy efficiency.
To complement the barn-inspired architecture, we installed Smart Alitherm 300 aluminium windows with chamfered bead and sash profiles. These details provide a more classic, heritage-style appearance, helping the windows blend seamlessly into the building’s traditional character. The slim aluminium frames retain a refined elegance while offering all the benefits of contemporary glazing—including excellent thermal insulation and low maintenance.
For the doors, we supplied and installed Smart Visoglide Plus aluminium sliding doors, offering large panes of glass and smooth, effortless operation. These sliding doors are ideal for maximizing views and bringing natural light into the living spaces, while their clean lines and modern function subtly contrast with the more traditional exterior for a perfectly balanced design.
Attention to detail was key in this project. We provided colour-matched aluminium corner pressings and coping, ensuring a seamless finish to the exterior cladding and maintaining a consistent visual language throughout the building. In addition, we supplied colour-matched arched aluminium window heads, a subtle but important detail that enhances the barn-style façade and reinforces the architectural authenticity of the build. This project demonstrates how thoughtfully chosen glazing products can bridge the gap between traditional design and modern functionality. The combination of heritage-style window profiles with contemporary aluminium sliding doors creates a home that is both timeless and practical. With every detail—from window styling to architectural pressings—carefully colour-matched and integrated, the result is a cohesive, high-quality finish that complements the rural setting while offering modern comfort.
