For this modern extension project, our team was brought in to supply and install all the windows and doors, playing a key role in creating a bright, open, and energy-efficient space that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living. The brief was to enhance the architectural impact of the extension while ensuring year-round comfort and performance.
The project features a combination of bifold doors and gable windows, designed to maximise natural light and create expansive views of the garden. We installed two 4-panel bifolding doors and one 3-panel bifold, giving the homeowners flexible access to the outdoor area while maintaining slim sightlines and a modern aesthetic.
Above the doors, we installed custom gable windows that follow the roofline of the extension. These striking features allow additional daylight to flood the space and elevate the architectural design with a sharp, contemporary finish.
To ensure the extension remains comfortable even in warmer months, all glazing units were fitted with solar-controlled glass. This specialist glass helps reduce solar gain and overheating, making the space more usable year-round while maintaining excellent energy efficiency.
All aluminium frames were powder-coated in RAL 7036 Platinum Grey, a sleek, soft-toned finish that blends beautifully with both the brickwork and the overall colour palette of the home. This subtle but stylish choice complements the modern design while adding a premium feel to the glazing.
The completed extension is a striking example of how thoughtful glazing design can transform a living space. With its generous glazed areas, clean lines, and solar-control technology, the space is filled with natural light while remaining comfortable and thermally efficient throughout the seasons.
